Britney Spears’s Father Purchased The Video Of Her Boyfriend Cheating On Her To Spare Her The Embarrassment

When we learned yesterday that Britney Spears broke up with her boyfriend David Lucado yesterday, we also learned that the moron got caught cheating on a video that was being shopped around to various outlets for release. Today we learn that Britney’s saint of a father, Jamie Spears, went ahead and purchased the video of David’s cheating so that it would never be released and, therefore, would spare Britney the embarrassment of having this betrayal splashed all over the place. This is just further proof that Papa Spears is an amazing father and an amazing man.

The incriminating video showing Britney Spears’ now ex-boyfriend cheating on her is now owned by none other than Britney’s dad … TMZ has learned. TMZ broke the story … a video has surfaced of David Lucado dancing with and kissing a woman a couple of weeks ago. A rep for Jamie Spears tells TMZ … when Jamie got wind of the video he contacted the agency that was selling it and swiftly coughed up a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money to secure it. We’re told Jamie — who has been Britney’s conservator for over 6 years — then called Britney and told her he had something to show her … and it was important. When Brit saw the evidence that was all she needed … she immediately declared the relationship over. Jamie’s rep tells us he took the action to protect his daughter from David and from the embarrassment of the video going public. Jamie’s rep says the video is under lock and key and will never be seen again. The wild card — we don’t know if the “other woman” who secretly shot the video made other copies, but Jamie’s rep tells TMZ in no uncertain terms … if anybody posts or publishes the video he will sue them for copyright infringement.

Jamie Spears has been a godsend for Britney. He stepped in and helped get her out of the deep hole of despair and ruin she was lost to a few years ago and has been at her side ever since, ensuring that she is being looked after and cared for. I’m not surprised in the least that he would take steps to buy this incriminating evidence so that his baby girl is saved from being hurt any further by her cheating ex’s gross behavior. Papa Spears is a good man. Britney is lucky to have him in her life.

Seriously, Papa Spears and Katie Holmes’ dad need to get together and reminisce about how they saved their daughters … Then package it up and teach a course to Hollywood parents (la Lohans, I’m looking at YOU).

Makes you wonder if someone like Kristen Stewart had the chance to buy the pictures of her and that dude before they hit the magazines. I wonder if she had the chance and didn’t do it? Or if someone like Papa Spears is like the mafia and can do things like this? Either way I’m glad we don’t have to see the evidence.

OG Emily that is the best idea ever.
Papa Spears wins! All girls should be lucky enough to have a dad who has their back like that.

…but is Mr. Spears really that naive to think the seller didn’t make copies to sell later in time?

    • Bruce

But because he bought and now owns the footage, if it’s shown without his permission he can sue the hell out of the person showing it

    • @Jamie Tran Reitnaur — It doesn’t make sense for the seller to try and defraud the buyer in this way. It’s possible but I don’t believe that the seller would sell this video for a high price and then try and defraud the buyer down the line. It’s not that serious a video, tbh.
