Outkast Reunites At Coachella, WATCH Their Full Concert Set Here

Back in November we first got wind that the members of OutkastAndré 3000 and Big Boi — where thinking about reuniting sometime in 2014 and back in January, we learned officially that they would be making their 10ish year reunion on stage on Day 1 of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Yesterday was Day 1 of Coachella and Outkast rightfully headlined the fest with a 27 song setlist that thrilled their longtime fans … and, very unfortunately, failed to energize the majority of younger folks in the crowd. Kids, smh. Click the video embedded above to watch Outkast’s FULL concert performance from last night … their first in about 20 years. You can see the setlist for all 27 songs below and find out which musicians came out to either perform on stage with Outkast or watched adoringly in the wings.

I don’t think it has been 20 years. They were still making music when I was in high school and it hasn’t been 20 years since high school for me.

Yeah, Outkast was my jam in junior high, less than 10 years ago. Roses and Hey Ya were all over the radio.

    • @anhimals — Ack, yes. I was thinking it’s been 20 years since Outkast released their debut album. It’s been about 10 years since they last performed together. IRREGARDLESS, it’s great that they are back :D

      Yes! :D

Hey, y’all. So I was in the audience on Friday for this performance. Before Outkast, Girl Talk brought a HUGE amount of energy to the crowd, it was a blast and a huge dance party. During their performance technical problems began on the main stage, the monitors went out and the video feed went out. Outkast was scheduled for after… cut ahead over an hour later. We waited (all 40 thousand of us) with no music or video feed, it was almost midnight… with the exception of some giant dot matrix triangle fritzing on the main screen. Many of us spent the day traveling to Coachella from all over the place and all the kids were way too blitzed at that point. The energy left the field with the technical problems, it’s too bad because had they started with their hits the crowd would have been ready, but it wasn’t laid out that way. I have a feeling next Friday will be much different. Either way, I was happy to see the boys in action :)

    • @LaurenL — Thanks for the update. I think you’re right, they’ll make sure to have the tech problems handled for next Friday’s performance.
