Loved it! It took the show back to its glory days – when it was all about the music. The best half-time show since probably Bruce or Prince. It was elaborate, choreographed but still not taking anything away from the music – IMO, better than Madge or Bey. I never doubted Bruno, I think he is the best male performer of the past few years.

  2. LOVED it! easily the best halftime show in years. i couldnt believe i was reading tweets of people saying he sucked. the man has amamzing talent. it got me so excited for his concert this summer

Love him. Thought the Chillis were a strange turn that didn’t quite fit, but Bruno, if you aren’t a fan, there is something wrong with you.

I loved it. It was a relief from the years of scantily clad, overly choregraphed pop spectacles and over the hill rockers. It was just a good time. And that’s what I like. For people complaining, I’m sorry for you if pop music is removed your ability to enjoy live instruments and raw talent.

Totally agree with Em. While it was flashy, there were very little “I’m The Queen” moments that there were certainly abundant of from Madonna and Beyonce. This was more like, “”Nuff o’ that. I’m just here to make make them enjoy the music and have fun!”

  6. I really loved Bruno’s performance, but I really felt like the half-time show was even shorter than last year (too short!!)

For me it was all about Renee Fleming- what a voice and what a beautiful and fitting rendition of our National Anthem! I actually understood every single word :)

My kids were not impressed by Bruno Mars. I, on the hand, was quite excited to see a performance which seemed to me to be live and not lip-synched.

  9. I think he is so talented…but I would REALLY love for him to stop being such a direct mimmick of his influences. Take that love of the past and add something of your own! He has a great voice and can write great songs, I just wish his influences werent so obvious. I thought he did a really good job, though.

Bruno Mars for the win! I’ve been a fan of Bruno Mars since he was a nobody with mixtapes, I’m loving all of this!
