The Lads Of One Direction Pay A Visit To ‘Sesame Street’

Last weekend the guys in One Direction made their way to the NBC studios in NYC, NY to perform as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. While they were in the neighborhood, the 1D lads decided to also pay a visit to Sesame Street to film an appearance for the show. As you can see below, the guys got to pose for a photo with the man himself Big Bird on the set of the show. No word yet on whether or not Big Bird has run off to join the band but I’m gonna guess that everyone involved had fun working together on this guest appearance.

In other Sesame Street news, the show has come up with a clever new spoof to entertain both kids and adults. Last month the spoof was of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. This month, they spoof Lord of the Rings in a little skit called Lord of the Crumbs:

Legend speaks of a dessert unimaginably sweet and delicious, and when it was destroyed all that remained was the dessert’s powerful recipe. It remained in the hands of a monster named Gobble for a long time, but when it disappeared, all cookies on Monster Earth disappeared along with it. It is up to Cookie Monster to use his memory and remember the recipe in order to bake the cookies in the fires of Mount Crumb.

That settles it. I’m going to have to start watching Sesame Street again. Even tho it’s been many, many years since I watched the show with any regularity, the level of entertainment has been pretty phenomenal in recent years. It would be totally normal for an adult like myself to watch Sesame Street again, right? Or, am I going to have to get a kid to justify the action :/
