The Stars Of ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Cover ‘Entertainment Weekly’ Magazine

Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, Dakota Johnson as Anatacia Steele

Back in September the world finally learned which actors would be playing the lead roles in the much-ballyhooed big screen adaptation of the novel Fifty Shades of Grey. As you may recall, we learned that Dakota Johnson was cast as Anastasia Steele and Charlie Hunnam was cast as Christian Grey … but then Hunnman quit the movie, producers went into a tizzy and then Jamie Dornan was cast in the role. Today, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly magazine, we get our FIRST LOOK at Dakota and Jamie in character as Anastasia and Christian as they will appear in Fifty Shades of Grey.

The magazine is featuring the stars of Grey on the cover and in the pages of this week’s issue of Entertainment Weekly — which will be a must own issue for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey. Very unfortunately, the photos featured in the new issue of EW this week cannot be shared here (boo, I know) so you’re gonna hafta make sure you hit up your local newsstand to procure your copy. What do you think of this first look at Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele? Are you impressed?

OH and by the way, Fifty Shades was originally set to hit theaters in August 2014 but it has now been pushed back to February 2015, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Mark your calendars, Fifty Shades of Grey is now due to open on February 13, 2015.

ok this is alright, i was NOT happy with Dakota as Ana but i think she´s prettier with brown hair and very inocent looking and i´m excited to see what Jamie will do with this role. So yeah i´ll be seeing this movie

I agree with Kristin. At first I was NOT seeing Dakota as Ana, but she looks the part in these shots. And Jamie… well he ain’t no Charlie (or Ian) but he’ll do ;)

  3. Isnt her character supposed to be in her early 20s? She seems so much older to me, like young 30s. The picture with the tennis shoes reads to me like someone older trying to pay younger. Hmm.

    • @Krissy — “The picture with the tennis shoes reads to me like someone older trying to pay younger.”

      I thought that, too.

Thought she looked a little too old too. If Jamie was a smidge taller, I just imagined someone commanding, but the smolder isn’t so bad, I must admit!

  4. Jamie seems to pull off his character…but Dakota…not even close.

  5. Veronica

I agree with Krissy- Jamie looks great, but Dakota doesn’t look young enough :/

I agree Dakota isn’t looking quite like the young and naive Ana we likely all pictured, but I wouldn’t take the EW pictures as the definitive “final look” for these characters. I remember the first Twilight cover EW did that had Robert Pattinson painted practically white and Kristin all glammed up, which was just ridiculous compared to how they actually looked in the movie and caused the internet to freak out about how “wrong” they looked. (see it here —-> http://lat.ms/3AX1D ) I’ll save my judgment for some actual movie stills. And then I’ll re-evaluate my life choices for caring at all about this movie! :D

  8. TRUTH BE TOLD

By “world” you mean britain, and by “50 Shades of Gray” you mean dead british actors and movie makers and homely author.

  9. Dakota really doesn’t fit the part of Ana.. they really should recast . She’s just too old looking .
