Yesterday was Sarah’s and my last full day here in Orlando, FL and we made the most of it … and how. After I ran the Happy Haunted 5K Trail Run yesterday morning, Sarah and I made our way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to enjoy that park in the day before I had to rush back to the hotel for a long nap before I had to run the Tower of Terror 10 Miler race last night. After the race, Sarah and I (along with the other 10 Miler runners) got to play inside the Hollywood Studios park until 4 AM at the Disney Villains Bash! And we stayed ’til the end! Yep, we deffo got our money’s worth :D You’re gonna have to click below to see some of the photos I snapped yesterday … including the best photo I’ve ever taken and will ever take in my entire lifetime.
Our day in Hollywood Studios was HOT but really fun. We got to ride the rides we wanted and got to meet some great Disney characters. But little did I know that I’d be spending the rest of the day/night/early morning the day after meeting lots of other amazing characters! Around 3PM I had to go back to the hotel to sleep before my race later in the night and Sarah made her way to Epcot Center to eat and drink (and drink and drink). Then it was time for the Tower of Terror 10 Miler:
The race was really fun and, thankfully, nothing hurt … but the Florida humidity was a killer. Everyone was soaking wet with sweat … breathing wasn’t easy and, ugh, it was just really uncomfortable. Thankfully, there were a lot of great Disney villains along the course to take photos with. Even with the humidity, the race was really damn fun. After the race, Sarah and I got to play in the Hollywood Studios park at the Disney Villains Bash until 4 AM and we made the most of our time. My fave part, I have to say, was getting to take photos with so many great characters. We had fun with the Evil Stepmother and Stepsisters from Cinderella and the Evil Queen from Snow White … but my photo below with Darth Vader from Star Wars is the greatest thing you’ll ever see … ever:
Yep, I’m getting Force Choked in mid-air by Darth Vader. This photo was taken on my iPhone 5S and was captured in one shot. Isn’t it the coolest? Hahahha.
This weekend was really fun, mostly, because I got to share it with my BFF Sarah. I love her so much and getting to see her forget her cares and have so much fun was the best part of the weekend for me. I have to send out all my love and thanks to my homie Joel and his family for their amazing hospitality this weekend. Joel was responsible for a lot of the fun that Sarah and I got to enjoy this weekend and I cannot thank him enough for being so cool to us. We love you man!!!
And so … I’m out. I’m flying back to LA in a few and then I’ll be coming atcha again from the West Coast. I hope you have a great Sunday and enjoyed the best weekend ever :)
