Christina Aguilera, Lorde, Ellie Goulding And More Appear On ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Soundtrack

At the start of this month we got to hear the new Coldplay song Atlas which is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Today we learn which other artists also appear on the soundtrack as more information about the album is released. Christina Aguilera broke the news on Twitter yesterday that she recorded a song for the soundtrack and she is joined by Lorde, Ellie Goulding, The National, Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters and Men and MORE on the release. @xtina Love the underlying message of @TheHungerGames. “We Remain” is special new song, its message to my fans & how I connect w/ the movie, alike.

That was the tweet that Xtina posted yesterday letting the world know that she is featured on the Catching Fire soundtrack. I have to say, it’s a genius move. Xtina hasn’t had much success releasing music on her own albums lately but jumping on board a very successful soundtrack is a very smart move. Her song is titled We Remain and you can hear a snippet of if it HERE. Here is the full tracklist for the rest of the soundtrack:

» Coldplay – “Atlas”
» Of Monsters and Men – “Silhouettes”
» Sia (ft. The Weeknd & Diplo) – “Elastic Heart”
» The National – “Lean”
» Christina Aguilera – “We Remain”
» The Weeknd – “Devil May Cry”
» Imagine Dragons – “Who We Are”
» Lorde – “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”
» The Lumineers – “Gale Song”
» Ellie Goulding – “Mirrors”
» Patti Smith – “Capital Letter”
» Santigold – “Shooting Arrows At The Sky”
» Mikky Ekko – “Place For Us”
» Phantogram – “Lights”
» Antony & The Johnsons – “Angel On Fire”

The album is PACKED with artists who are so very “now”. We know that everyone is going apeshizz over Lorde right now (Shannon’s been buzzing about her since June) so it makes sense that she would be on the album. I’m excited to hear the new songs by Patti Smith, Santigold and The Lumineers. This soundtrack, based on it’s tracklist, looks like it’s going to be a smash hit. Are you Hunger Games fans excited by this soundtrack?
