HalloweenTime Comes Again

Last night, in honor of Friday the 13th, I made my way down to Anaheim, CA to spend some time in Disneyland for the launch of HalloweenTime 2013. Little did I know that a bazillion other people had the same idea and I was met with a CRUSH of traffic around the Disneyland area that resulted in over an hour of driving around in search of a parking spot. Ugh. It was so frustrating I almost gave up and went home but I persisted and made it into the park for a night of fun. My friend Derek was also at Disney yesterday so we met up and spend our time having as much fun as possible together.

Many parts of the park were decorated with Halloween decorations (early, I know) and there were two dance parties taking place last night where Disney Villains came out for meet and greets with fans. Sadly, I missed HalloweenTime at Disneyland last year for personal reasons so I didn’t want to miss out this year. With my upcoming trip to Walt Disney World coming up, I was deffo in a Disney mood last night. I always have a great time with Derek when we meet up at Disneyland (the last time I saw him was on the night that Disneyland was open for 24 hours in May). I enjoyed some Dole Whip, I got my requisite pretzel and I came home with two caramel apples (one of which became my breakfast this morning). All in all, I had a pretty great Friday the 13th.

I’m hoping to meet up with Adriana tonight so that we can talk Japan logistics and planning but other than that, I have a free day. I need to do some cleaning around here so I *may* get that done then … who knows? I hope all y’all have a great Saturday! Happy Weekend!!

Love these pics (I may have squealed when I saw them on Instagram earlier!) and so glad you had a good time Trent! Also very happy you got to have some Dole Whip. I was sad to discover that they don’t serve Dole Whip at Disneyland Paris when I was there this summer. :-( I think a Florida trip is calling my name…

    • @Thomas — YES!! If you do visit Florida you MUST try the Dole Whip, it’s so good. I have to confess, Disneyland Paris may be my fave Disney park that I’ve visited so far. It’s a perfect mix of Disneyland and Walt Disney World in one park. I’d love to visit it again some time :)

You are making me SO excited for my Disney World trip in October. I am going for a conference, but will be spending plenty of time around the park and going to Mikey’s Halloween Party!

    • Steph

      Opps, Mickey!

    • @Steph — I’m gonna be at WDW the first weekend in Oct, any chance I’ll run into you there?

    • Steph

Sadly no, I will be there Oct 22-28. I would have loved to meet you after reading your blog for years!

We went yesterday and spent the night. I’ve never seen so many people in one place before and the traffic control was insane. We went on Space Mountain and The Haunted Mansion, took pictures with Jack and Sally (!!!) and they were amazing. We’re going for the party on Halloween night, so I’m sure it’s going to be a million times worse.

    • @Laura — OH!! You got pics with Jack and Sally?! I’m so jealous!! If you’d like to share, I know I’d love to see them :)
