Yesterday we learned about a pretty hilarious petition on Change.org (which has now been signed by over 60,000 real, live people) to change the casting for the new Fifty Shades Of Grey movie. Like me, many of you thought it a little sad that– of all the causes in the world one might take up– folks had decided to bring ‘change’ about in this way. Oh, and there’s also the part where Charlie Hunnam is hawt and there needs be no casting change there. At all. Well, actor Matt Bomer was named in the petition as THE guy to play Christian Grey, and now he’s speaking out. Click inside for more! Oh, and since his name and hotness keep coming up, I went ahead and made a photo gallery above. He’s no Hunnam, but he’s definitely a cutie, lol.
Entertainment Weekly has the deets:
Sorry, ladies (and dudes): You aren’t going to be seeing Matt Bomer in a Red Room of Pain anytime soon.
The actor has responded to a Change.org petition to have himself and Alexis Bledel replace the recently announced Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson as the leads in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie adaptation…
At the premiere of the fifth season of White Collar, Bomer told ETonline, “I’m so grateful for the fans and touched. I’m looking forward to seeing the movie with Charlie and Dakota.”
Well, there you have it folks. It ain’t goin’ down, but I suspect that petition will stay up for a little while.
In the meantime, we’ve also learned that the movie will start filming on November 5 in Vancouver. So all my Canadian PITNBrs, let me know what’s good! Especially if you come across any shooting locations, lol.
