So … Miley Cyrus has been doing everything she can to promote the release of her new single We Can’t Stop which will be featured on her upcoming new album BANGERZ, due out in October. While I, personally, am not a big fan of We Can’t Stop, I think I’m going to be a BIG fan of at least one of the new tracks on BANGERZ. Producer Sean Garrett revealed to Vibe magazine that Miley collaborated with none other than our dear Britney Spears on a song that will be featured on the album. Britney + Miley are comin’ at us with a big song … and I’m not sure my frail little heart can take it.
Hitmaker Sean Garrett’s pen has touched the tracklists of everyone from Beyonce Knowles to Nicki Minaj but his latest collaboration includes controversial darling Miley Cyrus on her forthcoming effort Bangerz. While walking the red carpet at the 2013 BMI R&B/ Hip-Hop Awards … the singer/songwriter spilled the details about her collaboration with Britney Spears. “It’s fun, exciting [music]. We got one with that Britney,” he tells VIBE. It should come as no surprise that the two pop divas are tag teaming given their playful banter on Twitter, where Brit even asked the star formerly known as Hannah Montana for some help with her dancing. “Loving your new video for #WeCantStop @MileyCyrus! Maybe you can teach me how to twerk sometime LOL ;) xo,” Spears tweeted to Cyrus in June. When asked if Garrett hooked Miley up with the feature given his previous work with the “Baby One More Time” singer on “Toy Soldier” from her 2007 effort Blackout, he said it was “collective.” “Shoutout to my man Mike Will [Made It] but Mike Will, Miley and me just got in the studio and wanted to make it the biggest record possible,” he says. “It’s just a pleasure to be working with some icons like that.”
Um, yeah … so this song is very likely definitely coming our way. Britney and Miley share the same manager (Larry Rudolph) and both ladies will be releasing new albums around the same time so … cross-promotion makes sense. I’m actually kind of embarrassed to revel that I’m kind of excited to hear this track. Britney‘s collab with will.i.am on Scream & Shout was such a hit for me that I’m looking forward to hear more collabs with Hip Hop producers. My fear is that some form of twerking might be involved in this collab because Cyrus can’t seem to do anything without tossing in a twerk or two but … we’ll just have to hope for the best. What do y’all think about this collaboration? Are you looking forward to hearing a hot single from both Britney and Miley?
