ABC’s President Talks ‘Revenge’ And New Changes For Season Three

'I think we stumbled a little bit in season two...'

Can you guys believe it is friggen August already? We are mere weeks away from the season premieres of some of our favorite shows, including ABC‘s Revenge. The other day we took a look at some Instagram photos from the cast members of the show, and even got a sneak peek at a few images from the upcoming third season. A little while back we also learned that both Ashley Madekwe (who plays Ashley Davenport) and the show’s creator Mike Kelly were exiting the series. Recently the President of ABC spoke out about the upcoming season and he sounds really excited about some of the upcoming changes. Click inside to learn more!

E! has the deets:

Going into its third season, Revenge has a new showrunner in Sunil Nayar after creator Mike Kelley exited the series. It also has a lot of pressure with viewers wondering if the series can return to its season one glory.

“I have to give Mike credit because that first season was fabulous. And I think we stumbled a little bit in season two,” Lee admitted. “Sunil is bringing a slightly less complicated and really interesting take. The first episode back… is a fantastic episode, starting with a magnificent hook. I do think you are going to see that one enjoying itself in its third season and we certainly are.”

I am so excited about this first episode! Obviously, it’s gonna set the pace and tone for the entire season and I’m expecting good things.

One thing that happened, IMO, is that Revenge went from being a really good show in Season 1, to being a really exciting soap opera in Season 2. I’d like to see what a ‘slightly less complicated’ take will bring to the show. Oh, and we have the hawtness that is Justin Hartley (playing Victoria‘s long-lost son) to anticipate. So yeah. Can’t wait!

  1. I just realized what August actually means to the TV watchers. AHHHH!!!! I AM SO EXCITED.

  2. Well that “I think we stumbled a little in Season 2″ admission means A LOT. The finale was great, setting Season 3 for amazing things, but I have to agree that Season 2 wasn’t nearly as solid as Season 1. I didn’t find myself as interested with the exception of a few storylines. Hopefully the changes will be for the better! Can’t wait to find out.

  3. Eek! I am so excited. I LOVED S1, liked S2 and am really looking forward to S3. I think they know what worked and what didn’t in S2; everything I have read so far promises that S3 will be amazing!
