First Look: ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Releases A New Set Of Character Posters

The Quarter Quell Victors

Back in March we got our first look at a set of posters from the upcoming sequel film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire that introduced us to some of the characters that we will get to know and love in the film and today we get to check out another set of just-released character posters. Earlier today, we got to see a new promo image from Catching Fire that features lead characters Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) alongside their handler Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks). Right now, we get to see new promo images of Katniss and Peeta along with 9 other Hunger Games victors who will compete in the 75th annual Hunger Games: Quarter Quell in the film. As you can see, the victors from Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 7 and 12 are featured in this gallery. Click thru to see them all … and GEEK OUT WITH ME! The release of these posters is a very exciting way to prepare for the onslaught of Catching Fire promo items that will be released at San Diego Comic-Con later this week!

  1. Geek out time! THESE. Perfection. These posters are perfection! AH! Even Beetee looks kind of hot, for goodness sakes! I freaking love how the play the Capitol’s angle for the promo stuff. The tributes look like Gladiators, which was totally Suzanne Collins intention when writing the books. So cool!

Johanna is one of my favorites characters in the series (she’s a Slytherin dream) and I JUST CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT every time I see Jena Malone. Most people fangirl over Finnick, but I’ll gladly accept the fangirl duties for the standoffish one. She’s badass. By definition.

  2. THESE ARE SO PERFECT!!! This promo department is amazing, and I’m so thankful for that! I am so happy I get to feel this excited about this movie! I love how many tributes are getting posters, too. Gloss, Cashmere, etc. So cool!
