And so … I am home again. After a pretty long day of travel yesterday where Kirsten and I said aideu to the very hot and very muggy NYC, we hopped a plane bound for SoCal. Upon our arrival, we were met with rain falling from the sky … not a lot of rain but rain nonetheless. I’ve been living here in LA for 7 years now and I have never seen it rain in July before so … I guess it was a nice surprise. Kirst and I decided to lay low last night and just stayed in. I ended up crashing out at around 10PM so … yeah, it was nice to sleep in my own bed again. Today I am faced with a mountain of dirty laundry so I think I’m going to treat myself and NOT DO ANY OF IT MYSELF. Nope … I’m not gonna … you can’t make me.
While on my travels, I heard about a new pick-up/drop-off laundry service that just launched in my city that looks REALLY attractive to me right now. When I spent a lot of time living in NYC a few years ago, I really loved how easy it was to drop off your laundry one day and then pick it up the next, all clean and folded for you. At long last, such a service is now available here in SoCal … and I’m really anxious to try it out. Because my birthday is tomorrow (ugh, don’t remind me), I really don’t relish the idea of doing laundry so … I’m gonna give this new service called Wash.io a shot. Please wish me luck :D
I’m still a bit wiped out from all my traveling … my internal body clock has yet to adjust to the time here at home so I will likely lie low again tonight. I can’t say that I’m all that excited about my birthday tomorrow. Not only am I turning a year older but this will be my first birthday as a single person in a very long time. Blah. I might have to treat myself to something fun in order to cheer me up. Honestly, tho, it’s not that I’m bummed per se … I’m just tired. I hope all y’all are having a great Thursday! I’m out.0
