Amanda Bynes’s Album Will Be Produced By Waka Flocka Flame, Because She Is A Rapper Now

One thing y’all may not know about Amanda Bynes is that she is a crowd favorite among certain rappers. I don’t know exactly how this happened, and I don’t know why, but a while back I remember reading that she was getting some support from Gucci Mane and the incomparable Waka Flocka Flame. Both southern rappers (who both, incidentally, had their own beef with each other earlier this year) have reached out to Amanda on Twitter which is why I wasn’t all that surprised to hear Amanda’s cah-razy, kooky story of the day. Just a day after we learned that Wyclef Jean is not working on an album with her after all, we have confirmation from Waka Flocka Flame himself that he is producing Amanda’s forthcoming rap album. Because. She’ll be rapping. On the album. Click inside for the deets!

TMZ has the report:

Forget Wyclef Jean … Amanda Bynes is hashing out a record deal with rapper Waka Flocka Flame for her upcoming hip hop album — and Waka tells TMZ, it’s going to be legendary.

Waka — who runs Brick Squad Monopoly records — tells us, the deal hasn’t been signed yet but it’s basically in the bag … in fact, he’s already hired people to start penning Amanda’s songs.

Waka says he and Amanda FaceTime at least once a week and text every day — mostly about her rap career … but also about motivational stuff, like “keeping her head up from the haters.”

Waka tells us the album will be called “Shots” — adding, “It’s going to be crazy hot.” So far, there’s no projected release date.

As for whether Waka thinks there’s something a little off about Amanda … he said, “Not at all. She has it all together to me. She is cool as hell and ready for the rap world. I think she is going to kill the game.”

And just to make sure it’s a success … Waka says he’ll be featured on several of Amanda’s songs as well.

Waka’s good … but is he THAT good?

First of all, lemme explain something to you about Flocka. He’s awesome. He showed up at the Dipset anniversary concert that I went to earlier this year and I completely lost my mind when he hit the stage. Like many rap fans, I fell in lurve with Waka when he dropped Hard In Da Paint (which every rapper and their momma wanted to get on) but I really, really fell in love with him when he denounced a fan who said he was ‘20 times better than Tupac.’ He retorted by saying ‘HELL NO. I’m 20 times worse than Tupac.’ LMAOOOOOooooo. And yeah. I fell in love, because c’mon. That’s awesome. And he’s right. Here’s the video (my fave part is at the 3:10 mark). Sooo glad I finally have an excuse to share it:

I say all that to say that Waka has openly said that he’s not an especially talented lyricist/artist, and he’s just trying to have fun and make some money as a rapper (as opposed to his previous employment… as a trapper).

I feel confident in saying that he has no problem representing Amanda and working with her because he knows that… um… actual artistic talent isn’t always a requirement in this game, lmao. If he gets Amanda on one of his kinda beats, and drops a verse or two, it could be… bearable? LOL. No but for real. Don’t quote me on that one. Still, I kinda can’t wait to see where this collaboration goes, lol! I can’t wait to see pics of them in the studio together! C’mon! This is hilarious and awesome and hilarious!

He’s either a complete imbecile or complete genius… i’m still teetering… either way, it’s going to be entertaining…

I heart Flocka!! Heart him, I say! So many who’ve actually dealt with Amanda have said she’s “fine”, so I’m going to believe them, for now. We’ve seen a lot of celebs unravel, but I can’t recall one who had so many people denying it. I hope they have a good time making the record, and I hope we don’t have to wait until Amanda’s hair grows back out all the way before she loses those diabolically possessed wigs.

  • Paul

I guess this means that anyone can make a rap album, although it will be interesting to see how many ways Amanda can rhyme the word “ugly”.
