The Jackson Family Are Adamant That They NOT Lose Custody Of Paris Jackson

It’s been about a week since we learned the sad news that Paris Jackson attempted suicide and since that time, there has been chatter about the possible causes for her suicide attempt as well as reports that an investigation has been launched into the young girl’s welfare and home life. TMZ has begun speculating that Debbie Rowe, Paris’s biological mother who gave up custody of her daughter first to the late Michael Jackson and then his mother Katherine Jackson after his death, might be in a position to make a play for custody IF Paris wants to live with her. According to Jackson family sources dishing to TMZ, the family has reportedly NO INTENTION of losing their guardianship of Paris or any of MJ’s children to Rowe. Keep in mind, the information provided below is purely speculatory but, if things do get complicated where custody of Paris is concerned, it’s possible that a custody fight might ensue.

Michael Jackson’s family has circled the wagons … with many family members expressing outrage at the prospect Debbie Rowe could become Paris Jackson’s legal guardian … sources connected with the family tell TMZ. We broke the story … Debbie has not made any move to become Paris’ guardian after last week’s suicide attempt, but she’s amenable if Paris wants it. As we reported … Paris is having trouble connecting with grandma Katherine, and that’s one of the reasons she’s established a bond with Debbie over the last few months. Our sources say … members of the family believe Debbie’s motivation is to put herself in the public eye, as evidenced by her statement to the media after the suicide attempt. As one source said, “If her intentions were pure she’d be speaking to the family.” We’re told the family will fight Debbie “tooth and nail” if she attempts to secure guardianship. The criticism is puzzling, because Debbie has stayed out of the spotlight for years, and her statement about Paris had nothing to do with guardianship — it was merely confirming TMZ’s story that Paris had attempted suicide. Also interesting … the family is not suggesting Debbie’s motivation is money. The judge in the guardianship case is currently reviewing Katherine’s guardianship to determine if she’s able to properly care for MJ’s 3 kids.

Altho all of this is just rumor and conjecture, I have no problem at all believing that the Jackson family has no intent on every losing control of MJ’s children … to anyone. That family … geeze, they are a piece of work. While I don’t truly believe that they ever mean to harm the children in their care, I do believe that their controlling, manipulative and exploitative way of using the famous children in their care is harmful to the well being of the kids. Look at what life as a member of the Jackson family did to MJ. It pains me to think that the same sort of life might befall his children. As the TMZ article makes clear, Rowe appears to not now — nor has she ever been — interested in having custody of her own children. I do not believe she would ever make a play for the kids … unless any of the kids really wanted to be with her. And even then, I don’t think she’d go for it. Let’s just hope that Paris gets the help she desperately needs right now … and, in the long run, she is cared for properly until she’s old enough and well enough to care for herself.

What sort of stipend is received by the children’s guardian? It would be sad if that’s the motivating factor for retaining/obtaining custody.

    • @Serenity — As I understand it, MJ paid Rowe a LOT of money for those kids … from giving birth to them, to handing over custody, I understand she was paid a considerable sum. I doubt it would be about money.
