Taylor Swift Is Readying The Release Of A New Perfume Called ‘Taylor’

First Taylor Swift released her first celebrity fragrance called Wonderstruck, then she followed up with a sequel smell called Wonderstuck Enchanted. Today we learn that Tay Tay is coming at us with a third fragrance called Taylor by Taylor Swift. That’s not at all confusing, is it? Clearly with all of the endorsement deals that Taylor Swift enjoys, plus all of the time she spends making music and performing that music, NOT TO MENTION her healthy dating life … well, I guess she still has time to come up with pretty smells for her fans. Between the world tours, Keds partnership, awards show sweeps and Instagramming her cat, we don’t know how Taylor Swift finds time to come out with new fragrances. And yet, she does. The singer follows up her Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck Enchanted scents with Taylor by Taylor Swift, a scent which Swift calls “a mix of a lot of things: It’s sweet, it’s sophisticated, it draws you in. It’s really my way of translating classic, yet modern, into a perfume.” Swift says that each of her fragrances has reflected a time in her life, so this one is a little more grown up. “My first two fragrances were more about fairytales,” she says, “but this fragrance is more about my own style, so I wanted the name to be more personal.” The bottle was designed to reflect Swift’s “retro with a modern flair” style and features a ring of pearls as a nod to her favorite jewelry. “Pearls are the one fashion accessory that never seems to go out of style,” the singer shares. “I keep a strand in my purse, and throw them on whenever I need to dress up my outfit.” Ultimately, Swift says, she wants her fans to be able to channel her style wherever they go, with the help of the perfume’s mix of fruits, florals and woodsy scents. “I hope that wearing this fragrance makes fans feel that any look can be classic and chic,” she says.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to the smell. No matter what a fragrance is called or who’s name is on the bottle, if the smell doesn’t resonate with the wearer then it doesn’t matter where it comes from. I know that there are a lot of folks out there who enjoy their celebrity fragrances not because of the celebrity endorsement but because of the smell. I can’t hate on any celeb who hops aboard the celebrity fragrance train. Taylor Swift strikes me as a very intelligent, extremely creative and pretty down to Earth person … which is refreshing, I must admit. Taylor, you do your thing girl. In a world where odd and erratically outlandish behavior equals “fame”, it’s really nice to see that some people are able to enjoy success based on talent and drive.

hmmmm….I wonder what this one smells like, fame? success? heartbreak? revenge? snitch?

I agree Trent- say what you want about her songs and the inspirations behind them but you can’t front on how hard she works.
That being said celebrity fragrances never smell good to me. They all smell like someone who went to Bath and Body works- jacked a scent and mixed their home air freshener with it.
