Yesterday was my dear Emma’s birthday and I was lucky enough to celebrate the day with her and a small group of her closest friends. Because Emma knows how to party, she decided to host a fun wine flight fete where we all got to indulge in different wines and cheeses. After we boozed it up, we enjoyed a nice family dinner … and then we took the official afterparty to another wine bar mere feet away from where we started the celebration. It was basically the perfect night. I snapped some fun photos of Emma, which you can see below.
It is no exaggeration at all to say that Emma has been a lifesaver for me in the past few months. She has always been a very dear friend but her love and support in the past months has been integral to my survival. I cannot express how important she and hubby Josh are to me so it was an absolute pleasure to celebrate her special day yesterday. I said this to her yesterday and I don’t think she would mind my sharing it with all y’all today. There were days when I honestly believed I would never laugh again. This is the truth. But thru the pain that I have endured, she has offered me love, support and miraculously — lots of laughter. It is virtually impossible not to have a good time when you’re with this woman. She has the biggest, most caring heart and there is no way I could ever repay her for everything she has done for me … but I hope a sweet ass Marc Jacobs bag helps a little bit :) I just love Emma so much, yesterday was utter joy for me so, again, I have to thank her for that, too.
Even tho it’s a tiny bit belated, I hope you will send some Birthday Lurve to Emma because she deserves all the lurve in the world :D
I have a bit of housekeeping to get to today before I head out to The Troubadour to see Holy Ghost! in concert. It’s Monday, It’s a new week … I hope it’s a fabulous one for you all :D0
