According to sources at The Mirror, Adele is now back in the studio and working on new material for her upcoming album. Being that the last music fans got the from talented songstress was her Oscar-winning hit “Skyfall” for the James Bond film last year, the good news should be more than welcomed. Looking to follow up her critically-acclaimed LP, 21, the UK singer has been in “lockdown mode” in her London studio, where she’s planning on finishing up several songs over the next few weeks. According to The Mirror:

Four tracks are finished in terms of writing and she’s now laying down preliminary vocals with backing music and singers. The rest of the record will be done in LA. The feel is very much Adele going back to her roots, with some modern jazz and a couple of classic old songs.

Currently rumored to be due out in “mid-2014,” we’ll be sure to keep you up to date as more information is provided.

I’m excited about the new music, but I also got really pumped when I saw that Adele is covering ‘a couple of classic old songs.’ Cannot wait to hear who she decided to cover!

We’ve got a long way to go until 2014, but I’m assuming the wait will be worth it. I mean, it’s Adele. So yeah, I think we can expect some pretty awesome things!

DId you see the little girl that sang on Ellen yesterday? Ellen found her in a school while she was visiting Australia and all her classmates wanted her to sing for Ellen. Future Adele alert! She was amazing for a 10 year old.

Adele is so considerate to give the pop girls a chance to snag a Grammy before she comes back like a hurricane and sweeps all them hoes up in 2015.

Adele really needs to stop stealing all the good looks in the world. It’s rude.
