First Listen: ‘The X Factor’ Hopefuls Emblem 3 Release A Single Titled ‘Chloe (You’re The One)’

"Oh baby, I have no doubt you're the one that I want"

Last year the trio known as Emblem 3 made a bit of a splash on The X Factor before they were eliminated from the competition. Today we learn that Emblem 3 are still going strong and have just released their debut single. The guys — Wesley Stromberg, Keaton Stromberg, and Drew Chadwick — stopped by On Air with Ryan Seacrest to drop their new single Chloe (You’re The One) … which you can listen to in full below.

The boys of Emblem3 have come a long way since being eliminated from The X Factor! Wesley Stromberg, Keaton Stromberg, and Drew Chadwick, who quickly become everyone’s favorite boy band from the last season of the hit competition show, are back with the debut of their first single, “Chloe (You’re the One I Want).” Although the boys tell us the song isn’t about anyone in particular, it’s clear they know what they’re looking for in a girl! With lyrics like, “If only you could believe in yourself in the way I believe in you,” you’re sure to fall in love with this catchy jam. And with such a catchy tune, fans are sure to unite. So we had to ask, what’s the craziest thing a fan has done for the rising band?
Wes revealed: “One fan from Brazil sent us a puppy in the mail. That’s a pretty crazy thing to just one night be kicking it and have the doorbell ring and there’s a puppy and a note that says, ‘I love you,’ which is awesome.”

Um … in regards to that puppy thing … no, packaging and sending a live animal thru the mail is not “awesome”, no matter what was behind the sentiment. Please people of the world, never do such an idiotic thing. In regards to the song … it’s catchy, deffo has that Good Charlotte vibe. I knew that even tho Emblem 3 didn’t win The X Factor that they would have a career beyond the show. This first single is a good start, I guess. Any E3 fans out there? Do you dig this song?

I kinda love it. And Dude. I want a mail order puppy…!

    I kid. I kid. ;)

I really loved them on the show, was kind of glad they didn’t win so they could take their career in their own direction… hopefully they come out with some more edgy songs later.

It is pretty catchy but I don’t love it..maybe with a few more listens. I definitely hear the Good Charlotte vibe, but I don’t really like the parts where its that one guy slightly rapping or whatever it’s called. I feel like he needs to clear his throat.

    Oh dear these boys…
I don’t exactly watch this kind of TV, but my husband and I caught a few episodes of X-factor and saw E3. The way I saw it, the only song they ever did that was any good was One Day – which they obviously didn’t write.

    (Their version is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQgX_Linmh0)
    so anyway…there’s that.
But really all I can think about when I hear these guys (and I’m not sure why they trigger this reaction) is. OMG. I am so scared of having daughters with boys like this out there. I happen to have a daughter named Chloe. So when I first saw this song I was thinking “aw cool, now when she’s older I can tell her there’s a song for her” – yeah. no. I don’t really want my teenage daughter listening to a song about how her sister (and she does have an older sister) turns everyone on. I mean come on. Chloe is 4 though so…we won’t have to worry about it for awhile but she’s already talking about getting married. Still. Boys like this are the reason imaginary fathers have been sitting on imaginary porches with imaginary shotguns for generations.
And then there’s the thing where the whole rich-white-boy-from-newport-beach is also a rapper who wears his pants around his ass crack.
To me there’s just a lot of NO going on here.

@SFMOM–LET ME TELL YOU THESE BOYS ARE NOT RICH, NOR FROM NEWPORT! I ALSO NEVER PERMIT MY SON TO WEAR HIS PANTS AROUND HIS ASS CRACK, WHICH SOUNDS RATHER DIFFICULT TO ACCOMPLISH. THESE BOYS GREW UP WITH VERY LITTLE AND WORKED THEIR TAILS OFF TO GET WHERE THEY ARE TODAY. THIS WHOLE “RICH WHITE BOY” STUFF IS A CROCK. MY SON IS THE PRODUCT OF TWO HARD WORKING PARENTS WITH BLUE COLLAR UPBRINGING.
