Zach Galifianakis Will Host An Upcoming ‘Saturday Night Live’ Episode

The last few episodes of Saturday Night Live have been kinda hit or miss for me. I was digging some of the skits from this past weekend, and I was especially happy they decided to take on the Accidental Racist song. But with SNL it’s often all about the host, so I’m happy to report that comedian Zach Galifianakis will be hosting an upcoming episode. We just recently watched the new trailer for The Hangover III, and much of the story centers around Zach’s character Alan… being off of his meds, lol. I could def use a little Galifianakis to hold me over until the movie drops. Click inside for more!

The Hollywood Reporter has the deets:

Zach Galifianakis is headed back to Saturday Night Live.

The Hangover Part III star will host the May 4 show, NBC announced during Saturday’s episode. He will be joined by musical guest Of Monsters and Men. The comedian last hosted in 2011 to rave reviews. A year earlier, he hosted for the first time in March 2010.

SNL airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.

Zach’s humor doesn’t work for everybody, but I’m totally smitten with him. I’ve seen his stand-ups and caught him in a few indie movies recently (like last year’s Mansome and The Campaign with Will Ferrell), and I just never get tired of him. I’m psyched he’s hosting, but I don’t know much about the musical guests. I’m on YouTube now listening to Little Talks… so far so good.
