Ryan Lochte Gets Nekkid For ‘Cosmopolitan’ Magazine

Olympic gold medal swimmer Ryan Lochte continues to do everything he can to promote the forthcoming debut of his E! reality TV series What Would Ryan Lochte Do? and that means more interviews and more photoshoots. The bad news is that, sigh, Ryan has to actually speak words when he gives an interview so … yeah. The good news is that every photoshoot is an opportunity for Ryan to get nekkidor wet. In the case of his new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, homie gets both nekkid AND wet! And that more than makes up for having to read the guy’s interview so … Jeah!

Cosmo: What are we going to see you doing on your new show?
Ryan Lochte: My biggest passion is swimming but it’s a sport that doesn’t really get talked about until the Olympics, unlike baseball, football, and basketball, which are on TV all the time. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to do this show. I want people to enjoy the sport as much as I do. My whole family swims! You can pretty much say chlorine runs in our veins.

Cosmo: Are you currently seeing anyone? Will we see you dating?
Ryan Lochte: I am a single guy right now, but you’ll see me going on dates. I need someone who is able to hold her own – if a girl is really independent, that’s a turn-on for me. And she doesn’t have to play a sport for me to be interested in her! But if a girl smokes, that’s a big turn-off.

Cosmo: Who do you talk to about your dating life?
Ryan Lochte: I know my family would never steer me wrong, so I go to them for advice. And if I go on more than a couple of dates with one girl, it could get to that point where she would meet the Lochtes.

Cosmo: A couple of dates?! That’s fast!
Ryan Lochte: I mean, I gotta feel comfortable with her in order for that to happen! But I want a best friend and a lover at the same time. And I want her to make me laugh. I like someone who doesn’t care what people think—who’s not afraid of making a fool out of herself.

In case you have yet to get past the photo above to read the interview (or this portion of the blog), I have to say … this is a pretty decent interview. Ryan gave pretty good answers and comes across as a pretty normal, fairly intelligent guy. So … yeah … no one really cares tho, right? I mean … let’s look at that picture again, shall we?

The good thing about interviews published in magazines? They can edit out all instances of ‘uh’, ‘um’, and 5-minute long blank stares until Ryan understands the question.

    • Keegan

      But he looks great! lol

    • ClaireMichelle

Ah, that must be it! I was thinking maybe it was an interview done over email so someone could proof read his answers and maybe help him because it is way too coherent! Haha. But the missing “ums” and blank stares definitely changes things.

He has the intelligence of a 10 year old who got left back 3 times.
