Lindsay Lohan Heads Back To Court, May Not Make It On Time, Faces Months Of Jail Time [UPDATE]

It's That Time Again

It’s been a couple of months since Lindsay Lohan had to haul her cookies back to court but almost like clockwork, the time has come again. As you may recall, Lindsay appeared in court back in January so that she could officially change lawyers in the most recent criminal case against her (her previous lawyer, Shawn Holley, finally got fed up and quit). She did not appear in court in February because she was not ordered to … the ruling judge, tho, was so disgusted by her new lawyer Mark Heller‘s unprofessionalism, that Lindsay was ORDERED to appear IN COURT alongside him for her March hearing … which takes place at 8:30AM PT TODAY. Lindsay was planning to fly back to LA from NYC on Saturday so that she could be in town well ahead of her court date today … yeah, that didn’t happen. Instead, she showed up at JFK Airport in NY late Sunday night … and then did NOT get on the plane. She didn’t actually get on a plane until 6AM ET in the hopes of making it to court on time for her 8:30AM PT hearing. It’ll be a race against time to see if Lindsay will make it. The judge is already not happy with her, if she doesn’t make it to court on time, a warrant for her arrest could be issued … and that’s beside the real possibility this time that she might face serious time in jail. It’s Monday, Lindsay‘s going to court again … typical. As usual, TMZ is all over this story … click below to sort it all out.

Lindsay Lohan waited until almost the last second, but she showed up at JFK airport just moments ago to catch a flight to Los Angeles. As TMZ first reported, Lindsay was first scheduled to fly across the country yesterday in order to make her court date on Monday … but decided to stay in NYC another night. Lindsay arrived at the airport solo — she was originally going to make the trip with her mother Dina, but Mommy Dearest decided not to make the trip.

But then …

Lindsay Lohan is now in SERIOUS jeopardy of missing her court date tomorrow — TMZ has learned she got off her flight to Los Angeles at the last minute and is now scrambling to find another way to the west coast. Lindsay arrived at JFK a few hours ago after deciding NOT to fly back on Saturday as previously planned. We’re told Lindsay was on board the plane when for some reason … she decided to get off. According to our sources, Lindsay was in such a hurry to get off the plane, she left her bags behind. Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ she believed there was a problem with the plane … specifically that fuel was leaking.

Lindsay did manage to find a flight, thanks to the folks at Mr. Pink Energy Drink who put her on their private jet early this morning:

Lindsay eventually found a flight, tweeting at around 4:00 AM PT and thanking Mr. Pink — an energy drink company — for lending her a private jet. According to our sources, the flight won’t land in Los Angeles until around 6:30-7:00 AM PT … meaning Lindsay has roughly 1.5 hours to make it to court, which starts at 8:30 AM PT. It might be enough time, but you have to factor in that Lindsay needs to make herself “camera ready.” And then there’s this … we know Lindsay’s plane is set to land at the airport in Van Nuys. That means she has to travel around 20 miles to get to the hearing today at the Airport Courthouse. And it’s gonna be rush hour!

LMAOO!! The girl is an idiot. I mean, plain and simple. It’s clear she has been making the absolute WORST DECISIONS possible for years now, why should today be any different. Instead of flying into town early enough to ensure she could make her court date on time, she decided to pull this bullshizz ON THE DAY OF HER COURT HEARING! Considering her decision NOT to work out a plea bargain with prosecutors, she really does face a serious risk of going back to jail this time:

Prosecutors will ask the judge in her criminal trial to throw the book at Lindsay Lohan and give her 240 days in jail if she’s convicted of lying to cops in her June car accident case … TMZ has learned. Sources close to the case tell TMZ … the L.A. City Attorney will be in court, lying in wait in the event Lindsay is convicted. We’re told if the jury finds her guilty, L.A. prosecutors will ask the judge to jail her … because she would have squarely violated her probation in the jewelry heist case by breaking the law. We’re told L.A. prosecutors will ask for the maximum — 240 days in jail. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … if the judge sentences Lindsay to the max, based on the current formula and the fact that she’s a repeat probation violator, Lindsay would actually serve between 60 and 90 days. We’re told the Santa Monica City Attorney — which is prosecuting the main lying-to-cops case — will not ask for additional jail time if Lindsay gets nailed with the max. But here’s the problem. If Lindsay is convicted, she’d be placed on probation for ANOTHER 2 years, meaning if she violates any law, she could be hauled into court again, and possibly serve more jail time.

At the time of this posting, Lindsay‘s court hearing is set to start in about 30 minutes. Will she make it? If not, will she be arrested again? Will she finally get tossed in jail for her mountain of crimes unpunished? We shall see.

UPDATE: Lindsay made it to court about 45 minutes late and got her ass glitter bombed as she made her way into the courthouse:

Stay tuned, we should know soon enough what will come from this latest court hearing.

For anyone else, staying out of trouble while on probation would seem pretty easy….

  2. What a dumbass. Nobody is going to hire you to act if you can’t show up in court when you are supposed to be there, what will you show up for?

    • It must be interesting to live in a world where thinking, “But I’m Lindsay Lohan!” will get you what you want, even when life keeps proving otherwise.

Whelp, it’s official…she is about 30 minutes late. She JUST left the airport! Hope she arrives at the court and is immediately arrested. That would teacher a lesson about being late.

  4. Ashley

There shouldn’t be a trial. Just handcuff her when she walks in and be done with it. This girl is beyond an idiot.

  5. Lulu

What is a glitter bomb?! lol

  6. the threats of jail time are such a joke though. No matter how many days she gets she will serve 8 hours max.

  7. I can’t even deal with this idiot.
