Tomorrow morning I will be running the LA Marathon for the first time ever and to prepare for the big day, I made my way downtown to the LA Convention Center to pick up my race bib and other race essentials. Tomorrow’s marathon will be my third marathon and, hopefully, it’ll be the most fun. Except for my excursion downtown, I kept things nice and quiet yesterday … I even fell asleep before 10PM. Crazy, I know. I’ve been doing everything I can to conserve energy for tomorrow’s race … today, I will eat and eat and eat as much as I can ahead of the big day tomorrow. Needless to say, I think today will be another quiet one for me.
The LA Convention Center wasn’t as crazy as I thought it would be. I managed to get in and out in no time flat. I’m really excited and kinda scared about tomorrow’s run. I’m really looking forward to the course … we run from Dodger Stadium all the way to the Pacific Ocean:
But, as you know, 26.2 miles is no joke. If YOU would like to help the race more enjoyable for me, you can sign up HERE and send me a message that will be displayed on video screens along the course. I would LOVE to see your messages of support so I’d love you forever if you left me a message :D
After I picked up my race materials, I met up with Ollie for a quick bite to eat and then … that was my day. Today, I’m gonna do some laundry, read and rest up. I have to go to sleep really early today because I have to get up at 3AM to catch a shuttle at 4AM before the race starts around 7AM. OY! Pray for me, y’all. Have a Happy Saturday and a Happy St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow!!
