Beef & Books

The TV Guide

After my quick and sorta bizzy weekend in Detroit, I decided that my first day back was going to be really chill. In fact, I’m hoping to make the rest of the week a really quiet one. I’ve been running around a lot lately and, dang it, I just want to do nothing for a few days. With the season 3 premiere of Game of Thrones looming, I’m trying to read as quickly as possible the novel A Storm of Swords in order to get a handle on what’s to come in GoT season 3 before the show airs. I managed to do a lot of reading last night but I did take a break to run out for some Arby’s. What? Don’t judge me. It was a pretty perfect Monday night.

The Arby’s was delish, in case you were wondering. Because it’s a bit of a drive for me to get to my favorite eateries (the city I live in is PAINFULLY devoid of fast food offerings), I can’t get to Arby’s very often … but when I do, I always enjoy it :D

A Storm of Swords is SO good already. I’m almost halfway done and I’ve already learned a lot of exciting things about what’s to come in GoT season 3. I don’t want to say anything to spoil the coming season for any of y’all so I’ll just stay mum. I will say that I’ve already read very interesting developments about Sansa, Jamie, Jon, Tyrion and Arya. OMG. Something big happens between two of these characters that … MAN, I can’t wait to see!!! I can’t wait for this show to return to HBO.

I don’t have any plans for today and I think I’m going to keep it that way. The weather is so beautiful here … 70s and low 80s all week long. I have my windows open, my balcony doors open … it just smells so great outside. I hope you are having a fantastic Tuesday!

I plowed through all 5 books pretty quickly, to the point where I developed an eye twitch for about a week once I was done reading. Lol worth it!!

I’m so jealous of the kind of weather you have been having recently in LA. Currently in NY there is a wind-filled downpour that isn’t expected to let up anytime soon. Spring/summer can’t come soon enough for me ;)

  3. The New York Style Reuben? I don’t do fast food often, but that one took me there. Worth it.
