I’m not sure how your weekend went down but it looks like our dear Britney Spears had herself a pretty funtastic weekend and we’ve got the photos to prove it. Her weekend started out pretty simply with a quick shopping trip to Target but that shopping excursion proved to be an opportunity for Britney to buy some new artwork for her home. As her weekend unfolded, Britney spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying the beautiful weather here in SoCal. She attended her sons’ soccer game and looked to be having the time of her life. Who knew that a run of the mill shopping trip to Target could turn into an opportunity to procure new art but it’s clear that Britney Spears knows how to capitalize on an opportunity. Britney spied an artist who was selling artwork on the street and she went over to take a look. She managed to find a painting that she simply had to have and she reportedly shelled out around $800 for the painting seen above. Now, some folks might give her flack for spending so much money on a painting that they find gaudy but I’m of the mind that people should buy the art that they like. Period. I, personally, love artwork that is based on pop culture characters and, as a result, I love looking at the pieces I have procured over the years and have hanging on my walls. While I don’t think I would ever buy a painting like this one, far be it for me to deny anyone else the art they love. If this painting makes Britney happy then it was money well spent.

I love Britney when she’s being all Momney. It’s clear that she’s happiest when she can spend good, quality time with her children … aren’t these photos great? Brit Brit is dressed down and loving life … it’s fabulous. An industrious ice cream man parked his car near the soccer game and managed to lure Britney over to sample his sweet treats:
It appears that all she bought from the truck was a bottle of water … but I suppose it’s possible that she also treated herself to an ice cream cone or other like frozen confection. I think what I love most about these photos is how terribly normal they are. A trip to Target, a cheering soccer mom getting ice cream … these are things that we see (or do) almost every day. Britney may be one of the biggest superstars in the world but it looks like she finally found a way to be both the Queen of pop and a normal mom. Is there nothing this woman can’t do? LOVE IT :D
