AHHHH!! On a day where we already got the official Capitol portrait of Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) AND the official Capitol portrait of Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) we ALSO get a hawt third promo photo from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Of course, today must be The Men of The Hunger Games Day because today we also get the official Capitol portrait of Finnick Odair (played by Sam Claflin). Those of you who have read the book Catching Fire know that Finnick spends a lot of time almost completely naked … sadly, he is fully clothed in his portrait photo below. Even still, it’s worth a look so … have at it.
Okay … even tho he’s wearing ALL OF HIS CLOTHES (boo), Sam Clafin does make a very sexy Finnick Odair (yay!). I’m not sure what I was expecting from Finnick‘s portrait but this is a pretty good photo. I’m really curious to see how faithful to the book the movie will be in regards to his clothing (or lack thereof). But, until we get to see actual video footage, I guess we’ll have to sate our hunger with this portrait. So … do you like? Don’t make me pick!!!!! >:) They really spoiled us today with the eye candy!! ;) I might pick Finnick’s only because this is only our second official look at Sam as Finnick and I am super pleased! Perfect mix of sexy and sad.

Hm, interesting…all the tributes (and Gale) look directly at the camera in contrast to the Prep team members. And Sam looks 1000x better than the Zoolander pose he had on the EW cover. He looks great here. I definitely see Finnick when I look at it, so that’s awesome. I imagines they are going to keep the nudity to minimum because the aim for the PG-13 rating. I think I read they changed Johanna’s naked introduction to Katniss.
I agree with Joan, I totally see Finnick in this picture.
excellent casting choice i think. this guy is a dead ringer for the finnick i imagined while i was reading the books. i LOVE when this happens :)
