I’m flying back home to Detroit today for a quick weekend visit home. A bunch of my friends are running the annual Corktown 5K on Sunday and I decided to run the race with them. I’m still a little bummed that I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with my parents on my last visit home so I’m hoping to get in a little more hang with them on this quick trip home. I understand it’s a bit chilly in The D right now but I’m very much looking forward to seeing my family, friends and beloved hometown.
I don’t have much of anything planned for this weekend other than the race on Sunday. I need to see my folks and I need to spend as much time chillin’ with Sarah so … it should be a fun weekend. I hope you are having a great Thursday. I’ll be comin’ atcha from the Midwest for the rest of the weekend but I’ll still be here :D

Hi Trent – you really need to do something about the slowness of the site. Every page takes forever to load and constantly gives that Not Responding error. When loading, it also prevents looking at other Windows tabs so you can’t even really wait it out by looking at another page without opening a whole new window. This has been going on for quite a while so I’m surprised no one has mentioned it to you. Or maybe you know and don’t care. Either way, I visit much less because of it and eventually probably won’t visit the site at all if it doesn’t improve.
I thought it was just me, but pinkisthenewblog is very slow loading here as well. Only site that is slowing as well so not an internet issue (and I’ll laugh at the mac suggestion below).
Slow loading? Do some things like…delete email, trash them, then empty trash….check your Internet speed, maybe a problem there….get a Mac and all will solved!!!
I don’t know…the site is taking a long time to load for me too? It does that time to time. My computer is only 6 months old and my internet connection is good .
Yeah, now that I think about it, it is when I have Pink open that my internet seems to slow down. Maybe it is just a coincidence. I don’t know… Mac user here, so that shouldn’t be the problem.
P.S. won’t stop me from coming back though! :)

Well, apparently Trent actually doesn’t care because he didn’t even bother responding when clearly he’s read the comments.
@Donny — There have been some crazy tech problems on the site recently (as you undoubtedly may have noticed) and I can assure you, every effort is being made to correct them. I’m hoping issues with site loading speed and the mobile site will be fixed relatively soon. I ask your patience, which is annoying I know but again, the tech folks are doing everything they can to get the site in optimal shape.
