Last night I was graciously invited to attend an early screening of the Disney film Oz the Great and Powerful at the El Capitan Theater … so it was a no brainer that I would jump at the chance to go. I absolutely love the movie-going experience at the El Capitan and I’ve been so curious to see Oz that, well, I was very excited for my night out. My friend Josh Z came out to see the movie with me and we had a great time of it.

I’m not able to post my review of the movie until Friday but I can tell you right now, I enjoyed it very much. I have so much that I want to say but, well, I’ll have to share it a bit later on. After the movie, Josh and I went over to 25° at the Roosevelt Hotel for burgers and beers and then we went to another bar for micheladas.

Josh is a great buddy to hang with, he’s always so easy going and fun to talk to. He and Emma will be traveling this weekend (as will I) and then they’re back home for a hot minute before they’re gone again for a couple of weeks. I’m glad we got last night to hang out cuz I prolly won’t get to see him or Emma very much for a while.
I don’t have any big plans for today … the warm weather is hiding behind the gloomy clouds and I hear it may rain later in the week so … I’ll prolly stay in and take care of some chores around the house. There are a couple of activities available later in the night so … maybe I’ll hit the town. I hope you are having a great Tuesday, wherever in the world you may be.

I can’t wait for your review!! I’m happy to at least hear you liked it! I have been wanting to see this so badly, I was scared it might not be very good and I would be disappointed! Looking forward to your full review!
How did you like listening to the Wurlitzer pipe organ?
@Ken — the preshow organist is always a highlight of seeing movies at the El Capitan.
Yay Scissor Sisters reference!
