Nicki Minaj’s Fragrance Bottle Gets Cute Outfits For The UK Market

Last Fall, Nicki Minaj released her first celebrity fragrance called Pink Friday here in the US and, as I understand it, it’s been a marginal success. The fragrance launch here in America was successful enough to have Pink Friday released in the UK. Nicki’s perfume will be sold exclusively in Selfridges department stores and as you can see below, the bottles will be made available with your choice of outfits. Yes, folks, the perfume bottles have clothes. To be honest, the clothed perfume bottles look cuter than you may think … check out the photos below and see for yourselves.

Nicki Minaj has confirmed the UK launch of her Pink Friday fragrance at Selfridges in London later this month, as well as unveiling a series of limited edition “costume” covers for the perfume. The ‘Starships’ singer has revealed three different limited edition outfit covers that fans will be able to dress up their Pink Friday bottles with, as part of her first foray into the world of celebrity fragrances. “UK Barbz, it’s official! My Pink Friday fragrance launches @Selfridges on March 14th!” Nicki tweeted yesterday (4th March). “I have something special 4U! Get ready #COUTUREBYMINAJ.” The ‘Beez In The Trap’ rapper then went on to separately reveal three unique costume covers, each of which will be available for a small amount of lucky fans who attend the Selfridges launch in mid March. The first fragrance bottle outfit is called the Duchess Of Pink, and is described as the “master of sassy sweetness”, with Nicki confirming fans can get their hands on the outfit if they are one of the first 100 to buy the fragrance at Selfridges later this month. The ‘Starships’ special cover features an outfit straight from the music video for the US star’s huge hit single, while the final bottle outfit to be confirmed is called Whip It Like Minaj, which is “all about the woman in charge who gets what she wants”.

If you look past the ridiculousness of dressing perfume bottles, these actually look kinda cute. I suppose if you’re going to shell out for a collectible perfume bottle, why not get one that comes with a cute outfit? I have no doubt that there are quite a few UK Nicki Minaj fans out there willing to get their hands on these fashionable bottles. Get it on Barbz!

I like Nicki, and think she keeps it real (in an artificial way). They had to do something to help that bottle. The US launch version of it made me think of the uber creepy “Barbie Loves Beauty” styling head. It kind of still does.

OMG… I don’t even like perfume but something is compelling me to buy one of those!
