Finally! A little while back Kendrick Lamar released the controversial video to Backstreet Freestyle, and while I loved that video (and trying to make sense of some of the images with y’all), I’d really been obsessively waiting for the video to Poetic Justice since we heard the single a while back. And I was not disappointed. Although it would have been awesome to see a cameo from Janet Jackson (what with the sample on the track), I love, love, love that the video is set in LA on Crenshaw Boulevard, and partly inspired by one of the storylines in her 1993 movie Poetic Justice. Haven’t watched this yet, but Kendrick Lamar is coming to town the day of my birthday (March 21, in case anyone was trying to buy me a gift)… I can’t decide if I should go or not. I don’t know him too well, but I am a concert crazy.. hmmm………
