Prince William & Kate Middleton Send Out Cute Thank You Cards To Well-Wishers

So, it’s been a few months since Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, shared their happy news with the world that they are pregnant for the first time. Since news of Kate‘s pregnancy broke, the mum-to-be suffered a bout of morning sickness that was so severe that she had to be hospitalized. It was only this week that the Duchess was able to make her first official public appearance since news of her pregnancy was announced late last year … so needless to say, she and Prince Wills have been bizzy. BUT, the young couple have not been too bizzy to slack in their social graces. Wills and Kate have been sending out thank you cards to folks who have been sending them well-wishes on their coming baby and just in case YOUR card has yet to arrival by Royal Mail, you can take a look below to see what the card looks like.

She has barely reached the half-way stage of her pregnancy. But the Duchess of Cambridge has been so inundated with good wishes from members of the public that she and her husband have created a special card to thank them. In recent days the couple’s office at St James Palace has been sending out the elegant ‘thank you notes’ to members of the public who have written to them over recent weeks. Rather than the more traditional-style letter normally sent out by members of the Royal Family, this one is a postcard with a picture on the front of William and Kate taken on their official visit to Singapore last year. On the back is the message: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were touched by your kind words following the wonderful news that they are expecting their first baby. It really was most thoughtful of you and Their Royal Highnesses send their warmest thanks and best wishes.’ The card is not signed by Kate but the envelope in which it comes bears her distinctive ‘C’ cypher. The picture on the front was chosen personally by the couple and shows them on the very first day of their tour of south east Asia to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Singapore’s Botanical Gardens. A St James’s Palace spokesman said the cards were being sent out by the Duke and Duchess’s Correspondence team as the couple had been touched by the number of good wishes they had received. The couple’s first baby, who will be third in line to the throne, is due in July.

Curiously, my thank you card has yet to show up in my mailbox but now that I know that the cards have been posted, I better keep my peepers peeled for its arrival. You’d think that folks as bizzy as the young royal couple wouldn’t have the time to be concerned about this sort of thing but pregnancy or no, certain social graces must be tended to. We still have a bit of a while to go before we go on high royal baby alert but, for once, I’m not all that anxious for this baby to come just yet. The next few months should be really fun as we get to see Kate fill out beautifully as her royal bump grows … I mean, am I right?

  1. As someone who LOVES writing thank you notes and thinks handwritten thank you’s are timeless – this is really cute. Understanding they can’t personally write/sign thousands :)
