Pepsi Unveils Fun New Beyoncé Promo Photos


Late last year we learned that Beyoncé secured herself a reported $50 million dollar endorsement deal with Pepsi Cola which included sponsorship of her Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show earlier this month. In addition to TV commercials, Bey will also be appearing in print ads for the soda company. A new batch of promo photos that feature B as Pepsi spokesmodel have made their way to the Internets and as you can see below, the photos are Andy Warhol-inspired pop art portraits that are really fun and colorful. Check ‘em out.

It should come as no big surprise that I really respond to this kind of advertising. I love bold, over-the-top images like this because, IMHO, they are a fun way to advertise. The marriage of Pop Star + Pop Art + Soda Pop is just brilliant. Truth be told, I’m a Coca Cola drinker thru and thru but an ad campaign like this is absolutely sure to stick in my mind. I know that I will remember these promo photos the next time I’m standing in a store ready to make a pop purchase. I don’t know that it’s quite enough to get me to choose Pepsi over Coke but the fact that I’m even talking about the possibility means that Pepsi has done their job. I love these photos, do you?

    I get the complaints about her looking white, because she does, but Beyonce has had pretty much blonde hair for a while now. Obviously not that blonde, since that is pop art, but still. She is pretty much a blonde in my eyes already. I wish she would dye it dark though!
