Watch: Christoph Waltz Is ‘Djesus Uncrossed’ On ‘Saturday Night Live’

Last night, Academy Award-winner Christoph Waltz hosted Saturday Night Live and it was pretty sweet. The Django Unchained actor has a particular sense of humor that I really fell in love with when I saw him in Roman Polanski’s 2011 film Carnage, so I was excited to see him on SNL. Waltz spoofed Django Unchained, and also took on Pope Benedict XVI’s retirement. Peep the video above to see him as Djesus Uncrossed, and click inside to check out more skits from last night’s episode!

For some reason, the NBC site doesn’t have a video clip of Christoph Waltz’s opening monologue, but you can watch it in the full episode HERE.

    ‘Djesus Uncrossed’ was brilliant.

adam, totally agree. And I’m secretly hoping Tarantino will take the hint and start re-telling some Biblical classics, lol.

I have been a fan of SNL for many years now and have realized that at times the humor is on the edgy side. Last nights episode (April 20, 2013) went over the edge with their sketch called “Djesus Uncrossed”. I found the sketch to be making a mockery of the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of my Lord Jesus Christ. I did not find any humor in the skit, only revulsion toward NBC for allowing such a sick and blasphemous skit to air on NBC.

I think that NBC executives no longer have any taste or an appreciation for any real humor unless it is offensive to Jesus or Christians. Had this been a sketch mocking Muhammad it would have probably provoked rioting in Muslim communities. However, knowing that most Christians won’t take the time to respond to such a sick and blasphemous production, NBC executives have no qualms over providing ridicule and mockery of Jesus Christ. I won’t be watching SNL anymore, and most likely will not be watching NBC for anything they air anymore.
