It’s been ages since we heard anything about that huge club fight involving Drake and his peoples, and Chris Brown and his peoples. For those of you who forgot about that night of insanity, Drake and Chris allegedly got into a beef (some say over Rihanna, others say it was over something else), and when their camps got involved bottles started flying and they basically tore W.i.P. nightclub up. Many people were severely injured and, of course, both parties came out and proclaimed their innocence. We’d also learned that Chris and Drake were being sued for the damages they caused to the nightclub, but now it sounds like the two are also going up against each other in new lawsuits. TMZ has the story:
Chris Brown and Drake are going after each other in court over their gargantuan brawl last June at W.i.P. nightclub in New York City … TMZ has learned.
A guy named Romain Julien — a French model — filed suit against Brown, Drake and the club for the injuries he claims he suffered during the bottle-throwing fight.
Now both Drake and Brown have filed legal docs — obtained by TMZ — in which they point the guilty finger at each other. It’s a little technical, but each is asking the judge to pin the blame on the other.
Drake and Brown each claim they were not responsible for the fight and want the other to pay any damages in the event the model wins his suit.
It’s the first time Brown and Drake — both of whom have been linked to Rihanna — have gone after each other in court.
Theses lawsuits are flying around like bottles! And I guess we could have expected that, considering the damage and drama these guys caused. But I also feel like we never got the full story, so I’m kind of interested to see how things go in court. I honestly don’t believe either party is completely innocent, as nothing about the fight seemed one-sided, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see how the judge rules.
