So. Apparently. There’s a TLC biopic in the works, and I wasn’t even consulted about it; so there’s that to be confused about on a Thursday morning. Also, said TLC biopic has apparently cast Lil’ Mama (best known for her Lip Gloss single, judging America’s Best Dance Crew, and for embarrassing the hell out of her self at the 2009 MTV VMAs) as Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes. Lil Mama has been cast to play the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez in the upcoming biopic about the R&B group TLC!

VH1 has already begun production on the TLC biopic and both T-Boz and Chilli serve as consultants and executive producers on the film.
MMhhhhhkay… I mean, I loved Lil’ Mama on ABDC, but I didn’t know she was, like, an actress. I get that this is a TV biopic, and I see the resemblance between Lil’ Mama and Left-Eye, but still. They could have gotten… an actual actress, right? I dunno; I’m totally weirded out by this news and I feel like I need more information, lol.
It goes without saying that TLC was/is one of the greatest groups of all time. As a fan, I just want to see things done right… so I don’t know about this news. I would say that it’s good news that Chilli and T-Boz are involved, but they’ve both made some *interesting* choices when it comes to their own projects so yeah. LMAO. I don’t know about this!!!

i asked Lisa Left eye an autograph a few months before her passing and let me tell you she felt at home here in Honduras, she wasn’t followed or recognized, except for those music junkies (like me). She was beautiful without any make up on! I hope she is depicted well in the bio pic. although we can’t deny she was sometimes a little nuts! :P

But for reals, Lil Mama’s gonna ‘turnt’ all this negativity around. She’s gonna show them that not only is her lip gloss poppin and cool, but so is her acting. Can’t. Wait.
Maybe they wanted someone who could sing and rap like Left Eye? That’s all I can think of.
