The Best Picture Oscar Nominees Get Amazing Minimalist Poster Artwork

Brilliant!

The 2013 Academy Awards are just a couple of weeks away, and I’m beyond excited. The fashion! The winners! The snubs! The speeches! The orchestra cutting off the speeches! I love it all, and I can’t wait to see how it all goes down. The official Oscar website recently published these amazing minimalist posters for all nine of the Best Picture nominees, and I want them all. I still have to see a bunch of these movies before the end of the month, and these posters are a great reminder. It’s hard to pick a fave, but I especially love the artwork for Beasts Of The Southern Wild, Lincoln, and Zero Dark Thirty. Peep the gallery for more! Oh, and to learn more about each other artists, go HERE.

The 2013 Academy Awards air February 24 at 7 pm EST, on ABC.

Minimalist? There’s an awful lot of detail in these posters.

There literally is nothing “minimal” about these posters….at all…I’m pretty sure some of the original movie posters were more minimalistic than these…couldn’t you have just said “alternative” posters? Or “different”? Laaaammmmmee
