Earlier today we got to see Kate Upton (and Kate Upton‘s boobs) on the cover of Sports Illustrated‘s Swimsuit issue. It was fun and all, but I also love seeing ladies in actual clothing that I would actually wear (nothing against any of you bikini/parka enthusiasts). Which is why I was excited to see Taylor Swift on the cover of Elle Magazine. Editors captured one of my favorite Swifty looks– a little bit retro, a little bit wearing-a-dress-that-I-totally-need. Click inside for a better look at the super-fab cover!
Taylor Swift for Elle Magazine:

Ummm yes to everything. The dress, the eyeliner, the hair. Yes, yes, yes. I mean, that dress is too cute– friggen yellow squares, and a nude panel? Hells yeah. I can’t wait to see the rest of the photos, ’cause I gotsta know who made this dress so I can have a new fancy label to obsess over. Taylor‘s good for giving me those, lol.
What do you guys think of the shoot? Taylor makes a good model– I loved her Harper’s Bazaar spread so I think this one’s gonna be fly.

Yes. Taylor is cute. But damn I just don’t like her. She reminds me of THOSE girls in High School.
I don’t love yellow but I do love that dress. It reminds me of the LV line that’s all checkered but it looks a bit different. The squares are more rounded. I do have to know about that dress.
It is Louis Vuitton.

Krissy, awesome detective work! Thanks
I like the dress and I wish she’d do this more often instead of those 50s paisley dresses she usually wears. It works for her.
I need to have that dress in my closet, like, YESTERDAY!
Vicky, I FEEL you!
Taylor’s modesty panel gets the job done without being obvious. The LV models on the runway didn’t have a modesty panel and only wore panties (and not very good ones at that). Still, I do love the retromod direction. It’s very Twiggy-ish. I can tell we have very similar tastes in fashion, Shannon! : )
