Coconut Cupcakes Will Save The Day

The TV Guide

Last night I was invited down to Manhattan Beach, CA to have dinner with Emma and Josh in celebration of her sister Chelsea’s arrival in town for the weekend. Emma cooked … so you can understand my trepidation. Still, I decided that I have thus far avoided the deathly flu that has ravaged the nation this season (knock on wood) so how bad could a dinner cooked by Emma really be. I’m happy to report that not only did I not die after dinner but I really enjoyed the entire meal … from start to finish. Em has been doing a lot of at home cooking since Josh’s collarbone injury so they’ve been staying in a lot. I felt last night was the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with the both of them at home.

Dinner was great but my fave part was dessert. Emma made, from scratch, coconut cupcakes that were devine. Unfortch for her she made far too many cupcakes for just the 4 of us … fortch for me, I got to bring home an entire plate of them :) Chelsea is here from SF for a few days so I’m going to try and hang out with them again on Sunday.

Oh and a quick update on my new jumbo Pop! Vinyl Batman figure … he found a few friends …

… as did the Cruella de Vil figure that Ollie gave me last week. I fear I may be overrun by these cute little dudes … send help.

It’s a bright and sunny day here in LA today but it’s a bit cold outside. I have to make a run to Santa Monica today to pick up my race materials for the 10K race I’m running tomorrow morning. Not sure what’s on tap for the rest of the day but I hope it’ll be a fun one.

Happy Saturday!!
