Last week we learned officially that David Beckham has signed a new deal to play professional soccer for Paris Saint-Germain FC for a short 5-month term. Today we get to see photos of Becks “hard” at work training for professional play with his new team. Beckham was spotted kicking around the ol’ soccer ball in London yesterday while wearing the team colors of PSG FC. It looks like he’s seriously serious about getting in shape to play in just a few short weeks.
David was seen on Sunday in full kit training at a London football pitch. Looking pleased to be back at work, David looked in a jovial mood as he smiled during his run around. He wrapped up in the red and black kit while keeping his hair off his face with a black beanie hat. And it seems he’s already made friends with his team mates. The handsome athlete has moved to french team Paris Saint Germain, and their player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is hoping to welcome the fashionable star to the club and pass on some of his own fashion advice. He said: ‘He is a very fashionable guy and he will love Paris. ‘I am sure he gets his fashion inspiration from me – he must have seen me walking around Milan. I have lived in some great cities but this is truly the fashion capital of the world. I will take him for a shopping trip next week. I am sure I can give him a few ideas.’ Swedish striker Zlatan – the world’s most expensive soccer player – is also looking forward to training and playing with David on his team. He added to The Sun newspaper: ‘David would have had many choices. Not only is he a top player, the profile he brings makes him very attractive. ‘It is good news for us he has made the decision – I am looking forward to playing with him.’ While David is to live in Paris for five months while he is under contract with the club, his fashion designer wife Victoria will stay in England with their children, Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, Cruz, seven, and 18-month-old Harper.
Blah. Thus far it sounds like EVERYONE (but me) is happy with this decision for Becks to play for Paris Saint-Germain. I mean, who wouldn’t want to live in Paris for 5 months … sigh. Yes, yes, he looks all happy in his new team colors and I suppose I should be totally happy for him but … blah. Good luck, Becks … I’m sure you’re going to have a blast with your new soccer team.0
