That’s All, Folks

Welp, my trip home to Detroit was FINALLY successful yesterday when I was able to take my parents out for a celebratory meal for my dad’s birthday on Friday. As I mentioned before, I had planned on surprising my parents by randomly showing up at their house but I was the one who got surprised because they were out on the town and I was left freezing my ass off on the porch … alone. But I digress … I had to spoil the surprise so I could nail my parents down for lunch yesterday and a successful lunch was had :D

Sarah and Mark joined us for lunch and we had a really nice time. I got to hear all about the gossipy shady stuff going on at my parents church which was cute only because my dad was all up in arms. Hilarious. Altho our hangout sesh was short it was very sweet. I’ll be back in Detroit in March for the Corktown 5k just before St. Patrick’s Day so there will be more fun on the horizon.

My flight home was pretty standard and last night I got to enjoy a great late night dinner with Alek, who was flying solo this weekend since Steph is off gallivanting in Paris, France right now … the jerk.

Today, I’m anxiously awaiting the delivery of my new leather chair and later on I’m planning to meet up with Ollie for a long overdue hangout. My windows are open, the fresh air is blowing in and the sun is shining brightly … Happy Monday from LA :D
