Sigh. It’s a good day for people who like good, quality, anything. Earlier we got to check out that sweet, new lyric video for Justin Timberlake’s Suit & Tie, and we now have confirmation that one of my favorite television shows in the history of television shows is coming to the big screen! Agh! The Bored To Death movie that we heard about a while back is totally, absolutely, officially going down! Click inside for more!
No longer will we have to wonder what became of novelist/unlicensed private investigator Jonathan Ames (Jason Schwartzman) and his half-sister he became romantically involved with (Isla Fisher) on Bored to Death: According to Vulture, last summer’s reports of a film based on the dearly departed HBO series are true and official as of today.
There aren’t many (or any) details yet, but we do know that Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis, and Ted Danson will all be back to reprise their roles, and the show’s creator, the real Jonathan Ames, will be penning the script. The gang’s back in full force. Rejoice!
Rejoice, indeed! I seriously cannot wait for this movie to go down. And now I have a great excuse to cop all the seasons on DVD. Definitely gonna need to mentally prepare for this one.
I think what makes this news so exciting is the fact that Bored To Death already had so many qualities of a movie (all the antics, the dramatics, the flashiness), you can totally picture it on the big screen. So yeah, my day is pretty much made. Who else is pumped?!
