Taylor Swift Is Rapunzel In Disney’s Dream Portrait Series

Goldilocks

Back in August of last year we got to see the latest photos from the Disney Dream Portrait series, which features celebrities in costume as famed Disney characters as photographed by Annie Leibovitz. As you may recall, the last photos we saw were of Jack Black, Will Ferrell & Jason Segel as the Hitchhiking Ghosts from The Haunted Mansion and Russell Brand as Captain Hook from Peter Pan. Today we get to see the latest Dream Portrait added to the series, this time featuring singer/songwriter Taylor Swift as Rapunzel. Click below to see her photo in full.

As much as I enjoy this Disney Dream Portrait series, I can’t say that I love all of the photos … depending on the celebrity and/or the styling, some of the photos leave much to be desired for me. This time, I think Disney totally got it perfect. Taylor Swift makes an excellent Rapunzel. She’s so hot right now, so, yeah it makes sense for her to be featured in the campaign. She naturally makes a good Rapunzel so it’s a total no brainer. I haven’t loved a Disney Dream Portrait photo this much since we saw Olivia Wilde as the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs back in March of 2011. What do y’all think of this photo? Does Taylor Swift make a good Rapunzel for you?

  1. Gorgeous. The only element that I’m not so big on is the swoosh of hair in the lower right corner. I get that it is supposed to be Rapunzel’s hair wrapping around the tower, but it could have been done better. Other than that, Taylor is the quintessential Disney Princess in this take.

I agree that I don’t particularly like the hair in the lower left corner wrapping around the tower. However, thinking about the celebrities who could have portrayed Rapunzel in this portrait series I couldn’t have thought of a better person to be a part of this photo shoot. She looks exactly like Repunzel here. Simply beautiful.

  3. This makes me miss her curly hair! She’s been wearing it straight for a long time now.

  4. This is beautiful! Taylor definitely fits as a Disney princess. Well done all around!

  5. My only issue with this is she seemed like a bit of the obvious choice. Olivia Wilde was great because it was so beautiful but also unexpected. But she looks lovely.

  6. Chuck

Fail! In what world is Taylor a virginal princess? Her cooch is looser than a Kim Kardashian on Vodka!

  7. Sam

I wish someone would lock her in a tower already!!!
