So, Lindsay Lohan may be struggling with some financial difficulties these days but that doesn’t mean that she’s entirely desperate for money … yet. Word has it that Dancing with the Stars offered Lindsay a sizeable sum to appear and compete on the upcoming new season of their show and Lindsay decided NOT to take them up on their offer. While I find it very difficult to believe that Lindsay has better offers coming in, I have to say, I’m a bit surprised that she decided to say no to DWTS. Either the girl still has some pride left OR she’s finally reached a point where she’s making intelligent decisions … I mean, right?
Lindsay Lohan’s ego might be her downfall — because TMZ has learned, she just shut down a lucrative offer to do “Dancing with the Stars” … because she doesn’t want to do reality TV. Sources close to Lindsay tell us, the actress was made several offers to join the DWTS cast this upcoming season — offers that maxed out at $550,000. But Lindsay — who still owes hundreds of thousands in back taxes — shut them down, telling friends she’d never consider doing reality TV … she wants to stick to films. But there’s one problem — after “The Canyons” fiasco, she’s basically made herself unhireable. And as the saying goes, beggars can’t be choosers. A rep for DWTS tells us, “We don’t comment on casting.”
Honestly, I fervently believe that Lindsay will reach a point where she won’t be turning down any offers for money but I guess she’s just not at that place just yet. As much as I dislike the low level of celebrity on display on DWTS, I would 100% tune in to watch Lindsay try and compete for reality TV fame. Ah well … I guess we’ll just have to wait … until they make the same offer (for less money) next year :)

DWTS has been good for troubled starlets.. I think being on a routine helps get their lives back on track so it wouldn’t be the worst decision
I think she is waaaaay too lazy to be on that show. Can anyone see her showing up to rehearse? For hours? Sober???
I think that was the best offer that she will be getting in the near future, so she is a fool for turning it down. Ultimately, I agree with cowgirl up above. I am really happy I won’t have to see her on tv regarding this show! Whew, dodged a bullet.
There’s way too much hard work involved in that show. Lindsey would crash and burn publicly and she knows it, that’s why she wouldn’t do it.
I think she would end up suffering from a lot of ‘exhaustion and dehydration’ if she did this show.
I agree with Krissy, Megan and Megan. I think she shut it down because she couldn’t handle the work, commitment and criticism. I actually think this would be a good move for her – she can get disciplined, healthy and on track. They probably have a drug or alcohol policy (as in, none allowed) and she said oh heck no.
… And as for not wanting to participate in reality TV … Lifetime is better?!?!

I just remembered that Chris Hemsworth starred in the Australian version of Dancing on Ice. He’s now one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, maybe she shouldn’t knock it!
