As we learned earlier in the week, actress Jennifer Lawrence played guest host on last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live and I am happy to say, she did a really fantastic job. Everyone knows that SNL has a pretty good track record of being NOT funny but every once in a while (and thankfully, moreso most recently) the show gives us a pretty funny ep … last night was one such ep. The show opened with a skit that poked fun at Lance Armstrong, Manti Te’o and Jodie Foster (who all gave us a lot to talk about in the past week) and then delivered a few skits that actually made me laugh. Click above to watch the opening skit and then click below to check some a few of my personal fave moments from last night’s show.
Jennifer Lawrence‘s monologue:
The Hunger Games Press Conference:
Top Dog Chef:
I loved the monologue, even if J. Law‘s comedic delivery was a bit stiff … and I really loved the Hunger Games skit. I think that one was my fave skit of the night. The Top Chef skit was so dumb, I couldn’t help but laugh so … yeah. The rest of the skits were kinda meh but I’m not complaining to be honest. I enjoyed J. Law on SNL last night and I’d love to see her host again. Did you watch SNL last night? Which skits were your faves?

I was impressed. Quite a few sketches actually made me laugh – including that dumb Top Dog Chef. Jen really was able to do the best she could with some of the less funny skits. I hope they have her back sometime, and maybe with a bit funnier material. She is really funny, so they should give her the best material.
@ClaireMichelle — I think the problem is that SNL can’t come up with better material … which is sad. But yes, I agree, J. Law does comedy well :D
Agreed. I wish they had worked a little harder when they had someone like JLaw on who could really shine with live comedy. At least she was able to make the best of it! I did laugh, so there’s that.
You can tell she’s really nervous during the monologue. But I thought she did great!
Jennifer definitely held her own last night. she stood out in all her skits. i would love for her to come back to host again
