First Lady Michelle Obama just debuted her new bangs, but another huge event is about to go down in our nation’s capital– President Obama’s second inauguration. Every four years the Inaugural Ball is a pretty big deal, and this year pop music’s biggest names will be celebrating the re-election of Barack Obama. We just got word that Lady Gaga will be headlining the Inaugural Ball for the President’s campaign staff. Click inside to see who’ll be joining her!
E! has the story:
But Gaga isn’t the only artist offering her services to honor the president’s second term kickoff. Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder,Alicia Keys, Usher, fun., and Cyndi Lauper are also set to perform.
Sprinkled among the performances at various events are celeb appearances like inaugural committee co-chair Eva Longoria along with Chelsea Clinton, singer-songwriter Ben Folds, Star Jones, Angela Bassett and gospel singer Yolanda Adams. Not to mention Harvey Weinstein, Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis and producer and campaign booster Colleen Bell.
As for whose footsteps Lady Gaga is following in?
None other than Jay-Z, who reportedly edited his own lyrics back in 2009 to, wait for it, “99 Problems but George Bush Ain’t One.”
We’re guessing Gaga will have something special of her own on tap for the White House little monsters contingent.
So, yeah. I’m a little confused as to why I’m not in DC right now, but whatever. This sounds like fuuuun! LOL. Hopefully we’ll get to see some pictures or something because it seems like everybody who’s anybody will be in the building.
What do y’all think of Lady Gaga headlining this private ball? I’m sooo thirsty to know what/how she’s gonna perform!
