Yesterday was a very fun, very productive day. I met up with Steph and Alek, who I’ve been joined at the hip with for a few days now, for a fun day of furniture shopping that turned out to be way more amazing than I thought it would. The guys have been telling me about a huge furniture store called H.D. Buttercup since they knew I’ve been in the market for a leather club chair. I finally agreed to go with them and OMG, I fell IN LOVE with that place. I picked up a few amazing pieces for my home at pretty good prices too. Afterward, we grabbed dinner and then went to the movies … which, all in all, turned out to be a really fab Saturday.
I’ve been keeping an eye out for a large leather club chair that is both masculine and comfortable … and I finally found it yesterday. The store was having a sale so I managed to get the chair for a great price. Along with the chair, I picked up a cool pillow for it and a mirror to hang behind it. I also found these amazing vintage-looking leather boxing gloves to hang on the mirror to set it all off. I’m not the kind of person to go crazy over furniture but OMG, I am in love right now. I also found the perfect couch that I’ve really been wanting so … I’m probably going to give the inexpensive couch I just bought to Josh and Emma and get the couch I really want in a couple of months. THEN I’ll be totally done with the furniture for my place. I have to thank Steph and Alek for their help and I promise never to discount their suggestions ever again EVER!
Oh and one more thing, the professional photos that were taken of me during the Walt Disney World Half Marathon and Marathon last weekend have finally been made available so I thought I’d share a couple of them with you here:
As difficult as all that running was last week when I was doing it, looking back it all seems so fun and non-painful. I love the photo of me high-fiving Mickey Mouse at the marathon finish line. I was SO happy to be done, I almost tackled him … hahahaha.
Today, I’m planning to head down to Manhattan Beach to see Emma and Josh, make sure his recuperating process is progressing nicely. It’s a beautifully sunny day here in LA today, finally. Happy LONG Weekend, y’all!!
