Hear Ye, Hear Ye … the British Royal Family has an announcement that will make all you Royal Baby Watchers squeal with delight. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have revealed that their baby will be born this July! At this point, we don’t yet know the sex of the baby (and won’t find out until the precious fruit of Kate‘s womb is born this Summer) but we do know when to expect its arrival. The Royal Family announced the happy due date news earlier today, click below to read what they have to say on the matter.
“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July,” read the simple statement, released by the Palace at 11 a.m. London time. “The Duchess’s condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month,” the statement also said. Kate sought treatment in early December for severe morning sickness.
Even tho we won’t know the sex of the baby until it’s born, we do know for sure that she is not having twins:
A Palace source confirms Kate is not expecting twins. The source adds that the couple will not be revealing the sex of the baby. A July arrival would allow the baby to share the same birth month as William’s late mother Diana, Princess of Wales, who was born on July 1.
Yes, a baby GIRL born on July 1 would be an amazing tribute to Will‘s late mother Princess Diana … but … I’M PULLING FOR JULY 12, Y’ALL! As you may know, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt gave birth to their twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon on July 12 and, I should reveal, I share the same birthday as well (along with Bill Cosby, Topher Grace, Richard Simmons, Michelle Rodriguez, Kristi Yamaguchi and THE Julius Caesar). July 12 is a GREAT day to be born, I think. BUT, I’m getting ahead of myself … we know the baby will be born in July and everything appears to be going well with the pregnancy so this is really great news. I can’t wait for the next update :)
