As you may have noticed, Pink is the new Blog was offline for pretty much most of the day yesterday. A server technical problem rendered the site inaccessible until well into the evening here on the West Coast so that day was pretty much a wash. Normally, this kind of thing would send me into a tailspin of stress but considering the stuff I’ve been dealing with personally in recent months, I honestly didn’t sweat it all that much. There was nothing I could do to fix it so, I just waited it out. I managed to get some errands done by day and then got home in time to post a few things to try and salvage the day. Last night I had dinner with Darion, Steph and Alek … it was the first time the four of us shared a dinner together in a very long time, it was well overdue.

The four of us used to roll together all the time in the years before David moved to LA. Then, for various reasons, we weren’t able to hang out as much as we all would’ve liked. Now, we have no reason to not hang out as much as possible so we decided to “get back to normal” with a nice dinner last night. It was a really fun night.

Yesterday afternoon, I made my way downtown to pick up my race bib for tonight’s New Year’s Race half marathon:

It’s my first race of 2013 and while I’m prolly not totally ready to run a half marathon at full capacity, I am excited to get back into the swing of things. I’m running tonight with Tamar’s brother Jeremy so it should be a fun race. Before tonight, tho, I’m going to a baby’s 1st birthday so I’ll get my party on beforehand. I hope all y’all have a great Saturday! Happy Weekend!

The best thing you can do to heal is to start living your life again. It’s never easy, but reconnecting with important people in your life is a great step. :)

I always wondered what happened to Steph and Alek..they seemed to just disappear one day. Glad you’ve reconnected!
