Pregnant Kate Middleton Is Reportedly Craving Lavender Shortbread

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve heard a peep of new information about Kate Middleton and her baby bump but today we are hearing that the Duchess of Cambridge is indulging in a curious pregnancy craving. According to reports, Kate has been craving lavender shortbread. While normal, non-royal women tend to crave things like ice cream and/or pickles, Katie has been feeding her baby bump lavender shortbread … which sounds just about fancy enough for the gestating heir to the British royal throne, don’t it?

PREGNANT Kate Middleton has been craving lavender shortbread. The British beauty — who has been suffering from acute morning sickness throughout her pregnancy, which was announced earlier this month — has been overloaded with boxes of the calorific treats, which are a traditional anti-sickness cure. “A lot of women develop cravings during pregnancy and Kate is no exception. She has got a real taste for these biscuits,” a source said. “Lavender is said to have healing properties, so it is not such a wacky food to nibble on when you’re pregnant.” The royal family have been sending Catherine – who was known as Kate Middleton prior to her and Prince William’s nuptials last year — boxes of the sugary snacks, which are sold by her father-in-law Prince Charles‘ Duchy Originals organic food brand and London-based department store Fortnum & Mason. As previously reported on ShowbizSpy, the sexy lady has been chowing down scones with jam and clotted cream! “Kate has been craving scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream,” said a source. “She can’t get enough of it. And she washes it down with a cup of old-fashioned English-breakfast tea. Some women eat raw onions when they’re pregnant, but Kate’s joked that she’s keeping it classy. It’s just a shame she can’t keep her food down for long!”

LOL! This is hilarious. I love how they’re trying to make it seem like Kate is “gorging” herself on these exotic and rich treats just because she married into the royal family. I’ll be you anything homegirl has been digging into a pint or two of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream here and there. I’m sure these reported lavender shortbread cakes are nice but a pregnant lady should be able to indulge in whatever her heart (and bump) desires. Cakes, jams, ice cream, who cares? Eat it all, Kate … as long as you can keep it down ;)

I’m 16 weeks pregnant right now, and pretty much if anyone just mentions a certain food, I crave it. So now I want lavender shortbread, scones, and clotted cream.

Never ate lavender shortbread. But if she’s still having sickness (which I wouldn’t doubt) then if she’s keeping something down, heck let her eat it. Usually if you’re that sick it’s a miracle if you find something that doesn’t make you want to puke. Maybe those are a couple of the things that she doesn’t feel sick about just hearing about it. When I was pregnant I didn’t get morning sickness, but I couldn’t stand someone mentioning anything about any type of meat.
