The Emperor's New Show
On Wednesday we got to see the poster artwork for the forthcoming final season of Spartacus on Starz but today we learn that the drama of ancient Rome may not be coming to an end with the finale of Spartacus: War of the Damned. It turns out that the powers that be are considering a spin-off series set in the same time period but centered around the not-yet Roman emperor Julius Caesar. Nothing has been decided yet and I suspect that this spin-off series will depend on well War of the Damned does but … I think this is a great idea. More »

Back For More
Kiefer Sutherland is back next year with the second season of his drama series Touch and today we get our first look at the promo poster artwork for the show. As you may know (or not), Touch got picked up for a second season after a pretty soft ratings first season on Fox. Honestly, as much as I enjoyed the show, I didn’t really think it would live to see a second season because I don’t know anyone who watched the show. But, Fox must have a lot of faith in Sutherland so, here comes Touch season 2. More »

Oh my gush… what am I looking at?! Is that my absolute favorite actress of this moment with her perfectly adorable son in the most amazing picture of my Friday?!?! Yes, yes it is. First of all, can we talk about Marion Cotillard‘s new movie Rust and Bone? Ummm yeah. I may or may not have written a rave review over at Paste Magazine and it took everything in me to not just write this over and over : <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
So yeah. Love this woman! And look at her baby! Too cute. Marcel and Marion (who are totally matching– loves) attended the Gucci Paris Masters, a competition in equestrian jumping. They (along with a family friend) cheered on Marcel‘s dad, French actor Guillaume Canet and he ended up placing 5th in the competition. Peep the gallery for more and get thee to a theatre to see Rust And Bone. Like, now!

'Year of the Jungle'
I’ve got some great news for fans of The Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins. It turns out that she will be releasing a new book next year! Yay! Tho, it should be noted that Collins‘s new book will be nothing at all like her Hunger Games trilogy of books. The new book is titled Year of the Jungle and it is an autobiographical picture book mean for much younger children. Still, the book will be out next Fall so … if this sounds interesting to you, you have something to look forward to. More »
Mark Your Calendars
Back in September we learned that Joss Whedon‘s film production of William Shakespeare‘s Much Ado About Nothing was picked up by Lionsgate films for distribution in theaters. At the start of this month, we got to see the first promo poster for the film. Today we learn that Much Ado will open in theaters next June. While I would LOVE to see Much Ado in theaters much sooner than next Summer, I am very happy that a release date has been set. Whedon‘s take on Shakespeare will be upon us soon … enough. More »

The TV Guide
The rain has been falling pretty steadily for the past couple of days which, normally, wouldn’t really bother me. But since I haven’t been feeling all that great lately both emotionally and physically, the rain has been a real drag. I did get out of the house yesterday to spend some time with my friends Steph and Alek. But much of my Thursday was spent indoors. This afternoon, I am escaping East into the desert to spend the weekend in Palm Springs. As far as I now, it’s warm and NOT raining in PS this weekend so, that should be a nice change of pace. More »

'Amazon' is Coming
Back in September we learned that The CW is planning to produce a new TV series based on Wonder Woman, just one year after NBC failed to bring the Amazonian superhero to the small screen. Today we learn that The CW has put the call out for young actresses to audition for the new lead role of Wonder Woman. A treatment for the show has made its way to the Internets and it sounds pretty cool …
except for the fact that the plan is to change WW‘s secret identity name from Diana to Iris UPDATE: It turns out her name won’t be changed after all. HMMM. Click below to read the treatment and learn more about this possible new series. More »
Earlier today we got a peek at Glee actress Lea Michele in a gorgeous Valentino gown at The Hollywood Foreign Press Association And InStyle Miss Golden Globe 2013 Party. A few other actresses we know and lurve were in attendance– like my girl Ashley Madekwe from Revenge and Christa B. Allen (AKA Charlotte), who also stars in the show. I love to see these ladies out and about and they were joined by a few other celebs (including Mellie, from Scandal!) on the carpet. Peep the gallery for more!
